Mount Bartle Frere

The wet tropical rainforests of northeast Queensland cover less than 0.1% of the land area of Australia, yet are home to 30% of all Australian marsupial species, 60% of all bat species, 18% of bird species, and 30% of all frog species.
Wet Tropical Rainforest
From 4000 to 9000 mm of rain fall annually in Bellenden Ker National Park, depending on elevation and exposure. Habitats within the park include lowland rainforest, montane rainforest, vine forest, fern forest, and open grassland ridges.
