Chihuahua-Pacific Railway
The famous Chihuahua-Pacific Railway carves its way through the unimaginably rugged Sierra Madre, passing through 87 tunnels, 37 bridges, and several canyons of the region known as Copper Canyon on its way to the Pacific.
Many Deep Canyons
There are several canyons deeper than the Grand Canyon of Arizona, including Urique, Copper, Sinforosa, Batopilas, and Candemena, and perhaps others still unmeasured.
Piedra Volada Falls
The 453-metre plunge of Piedra Volada stream, the highest in all of Mexico, is so remote that it was only discovered by the outside world in 1995. It falls from sheer precipices among the oak-pine forests of the Candamena Canyon.
