Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier National Park has six auto campgrounds providing almost 600 sites. These campgrounds are all open for your stay by no later than the end of June, and through no earlier than mid-September. Only one campground, Sunshine Point, is open for auto camping all year. The other five campgrounds close in September and October, depending on weather. Sites at two of the campgrounds, Cougar Rock and Ohanapecosh, are issued by reservation only from July 1 through Labor Day.

Ipsut Creek Campground

Region: Carbon River/Mowich Lake

Tent and RV's. Road rough, trailers not recommended.

Facilities: Tables and vault toilets. No potable water.

Mowich Lake Campground

Region: Carbon River/Mowich Lake

Tent and RV's. No fires.

Facilities: Chemical vault toilets, tables, refuse bin, hiking trails.

Sites 30	Pets No

Reservations First-come, first-served.

Cougar Rock Park

Region: Longmire

Tent and RV's. Southwest corner of the park.

Facilities: Water, flush-type toilets, trailer dump station, fire grates, tables, refuse and recycling cans, amphitheatre, hiking trails.

Reservations Reservations available from July 1 through Labor Day by calling 800.365.2267. The rest of the year is a first come, first serve basis.

Sunshine Point Campground

Region: Longmire

Tent and RV's.

Facilities: Water, chemical vault toilets, fire grates, refuse and recycling cans provided.

Ohanapecosh Campground

Region: Ohanapecosh

Tent and RV's.

Facilities: Water, flush-type toilets, trailer dump station, fire grates, tables, refuse and recycling cans, visitor center, amphitheatre, hiking trails.

White River Campground

Region: Sunrise/White River

Tent and RV's.

Facilities: Water, flush-type toilets, trailer dump station, fire grates, tables, refuse and recycling cans, hiking trails.
