Drive about 3 miles and follow the signs to the Visitor Center. Look for the American Flag; the Visitor Center is built into a hill, so it is mostly underground.

Food/Supplies: Food, supplies, gasoline, service stations and gear can be found at the town of Borrego Springs, which the park surrounds.
Concessions: The Visitor Center hosts a bookstore.
Visitor Impact
The desert is extremely fragile; it is vital that visitors stay on the designated roads and trails. Visitors should always carry an ample supply of water.
Unless visitors know the park very well, it's wise not to venture too far from vehicles or a marked highways or roads. Getting lost is one of the easiest things to do in the desert. It's always wise to ask a ranger or a park volunteer about the desert hazards.
