Surface
Find solitude in the rugged hills and deep valleys of the north side of the park, where you may explore the bluffs and ridgetops and camp by river, lake, or waterfall. A quick drive and easy walk through the southern reaches of the park will show you some of the area's most beautiful scenery. Over 30 miles of the Green and Nolin Rivers flow through the park.

Permit Information
Permits are required for overnight stays in the backcountry. They are available at the visitor center.

Directions
The Surface Region encompasses all of the aboveground terrain of the park.

Information Center
The information center is located in the center of the park off Flint Ridge and East Entrance Road.
