Saguaro East
Saguaro East encompasses a mature saguaro forest at the foot of the majestic Rincon Mountains, together with an exceptional variety of other desert plant communities.



Permit Information
Backcountry camping is allowed at designated sites. Backcountry use permits must be obtained at the visitor center in advance of an overnight trip.

Directions
From I-10, take Houghton Road to the Old Spanish Trail Road. Head east to Freeman Road, where you will find the visitor center and entrance to the park.

Information Center
At the visitor center you will find books, brochures, trail and drive guides, maps, exhibits, and a slide program on the saguaro cactus and the Sonoran Desert.
