Sulphur Ranger District
With its beautiful sunrises and sunsets and spectacular vistas throughout the area, the natural beauty of the mountains, lakes, streams and forests will provide long-lasting western memories. Cool summers with afternoon thunder showers are common to the area. Snow and cold temperatures can be expected in the winter. Wildlife includes elk, deer, moose, coyote, bobcat, bear, red fox, badger, beaver, ground and pine squirrels, chipmunks, bald and golden eagles, osprey, five species of trout, and kokanee salmon.
