Before you begin your three day exploration of the Grand Canyon, you can enjoy an optional overnight at the Bar 10 Lodge, a working cattle ranch perched high on a plateau above the Colorado River. Remote from paved roads and power lines, the lodge sits above Whitmore Canyon where mule trains once carried supplies to the river.

Your transition from civilization to wilderness includes horseback trail rides, chuck-wagon dinner and evening entertainment before settling into bed in the lodge or outdoors in a covered wagon. After a big country breakfast, a helicopter takes you deep into the canyon where your raft awaits.
